Terms of Cleaning Service

As a solo cleaner I work hard to ensure that I provide my cleaning services to an exceptionally high standard. There are some practical limitations to what can be achieved in a single day, and I will do my best to provide you an accurate estimate for time needed, however additional time / sessions may be required.

 

There are also some limitations that cleaning can remedy or improve the look of some surfaces cannot be restored due to age or previous damage caused by heavy buildup or cleaning product misuse and sometimes replacement is the only option.

 

You’re understanding and cooperation in setting realistic expectations are appreciated.

 

The Services I offer

 

I provide domestic Cleaning Services including general maintenance cleaning, deep cleaning, move in cleaning, and end of construction cleans.

 

These services are offered as a one-time cleaning service or as a recurring cleaning on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

I do not offer the following services such as oven, carpets or soft furnishing cleaning nor can I provide cleaning services to property’s that require

 

  • Cleaning at heights or with restrictive / limited or restrictive access and or lighting

  • Biohazard cleaning such as hoarders, nicotine removal, significant mould removal, human or pet waste (blood, urine etc.)

  • Pest control (fleas, rodents, flies, bed bugs etc)\

 

New Client Bookings

 

1.        A face-to-face cleaning consultation visit is required for every new client to assess and discuss your cleaning requirements before I can provide a price quotation.

2.        I advise that all new weekly / Fortnightly clients require at minimum a deep clean of the bathroom and kitchen to ensure that all build up is thoroughly cleaned and removed and the high standard clean can maintained through general cleaning. I will be unable to provide general cleaning services to clients without completing a deep clean.

3.        Following the cleaning consultation, I will email a full breakdown of the cleaning tasks I will provide, and a fixed price will be emailed to you, you can choose to accept or reject the quotation. I do not offer negotiations on price, nor will I price match. I will always advise clients to get a few quotes from other local cleaners to ensure you can select the right cleaner based on the level of service and budget you require.

4.        Your booking will only be confirmed once the quotation has been accepted and the 50% booking deposit has been paid. If the deposit is not paid within 48hrs before the scheduled clean the booking will be cancelled.  

 

On the day of cleaning

 

1.        Please ensure I can gain access to the property on arrival by either supplying a spare key or being at home at the agreed time.

2.        Please ensure the rooms that require cleaning are free from clutter (i.e. rubbish, toys, washing up, empty bottles etc.) I do offer a little tidying and organisation as part of my cleaning service, but heavily cluttered services or rooms that were not there in the cleaning consultation then I will only be able dust and hoover the clutter free surfaces and floor space and will then move onto to other rooms.

3.        I provide my own cleaning products and supplies, including hoover. If you prefer, I use you hoover please ensure it is fully charged / in working order with all attachments so I can complete the task effectively.

4.        If you have a septic tank or specialist furnishings that require special care or products, please inform me prior to clean. To ensure I source the right products  

5.        I work to the agreed cleaning tasks provided, I will not be able to take on additional tasks without an agreed discussion and the cleaning list be updated and agreed.

6.        Please ensure any valuables such as delicate antiques, glass ware, collectables are placed in a safe location, I am very careful when cleaning, but accidents can always be avoided if they are put away before the clean.

7.        After cleaning is completed, I will email you an invoice for the completed cleaning less any booking deposits already paid (if applicable)

 

Clients with pets (dog and cats)

 

1.        I am a pet friendly cleaner, and I am happy to clean properties with pets, however, please ensure you disclose any pets in the cleaning consultation visit, this ensures I use pet safe products.

2.        Please ensure your pet is kept secure whilst I clean, as I will sometimes need to go to and from the car and I wouldn’t want your dog or cat to escape. I also want to ensure that I can clean the rooms thoroughly without pets becoming frightened by hoovering etc. so ideally if and where possible pets to be kept to one room as I clean.

 

 

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee

 

If you are unhappy following one of my cleans, please contact me within 24hrs of the clean and we will discuss, and I will aim to rectify the issues as soon as possible.

 

Cleaning Service limitations

 

1.          My cleaning services do not include washing or drying up dishes, emptying the dishwasher, loading / unloading washing machine and folding laundry. The odd occasion I am happy to wash and dry a few dishes, but this is not a standard service and therefore sinks or drying boards full of cutlery will be left.

2.          I will attempt to remove black mould from shower and kitchen areas such as silicone, grout and tiles, however sometimes mould and limescale will embed itself deep within the surface and the only solution to remove it is to replace it.

3.           I will not attempt to remove heavy or large surfaces of black mould build up on walls, ceilings or surfaces, this will require a Mold remediation specialist.

4.          I will attempt to restore all surfaces by thorough cleaning techniques and products; however, some surfaces cannot be restored due to age, previous damage or heavy buildup, incorrect installation and wear and tear. I will endeavour to achieve high standard results however I will not accept liability or disputes of my standard of cleaning service due to the above issues or causes, some issues cannot be fixed simply by cleaning.

 

Payment

 

1.        Full Payment is required on the day of the clean, either before or after the clean. Continuous late payments will result in the cancellation of my cleaning service going forward.

2.        Invoices will be emailed, and payments are accepted by balance transfer. Bank details are included on the invoice.

3.        I am a cashless business so only bank transfers are accepted.

 

Late Payment policy:

 

1.        If payments are late three times, I will terminate providing my cleaning services

 

Cancellations

 

Notice Periods:

 

·       More than 48hrs: No Charge (deposit refunded)

·       Within 48hrs: Deposit not refunded

·       Within 24hrs: Deposit not refunded

To reduce spread of germs and sickness bugs, please contact me asap if anyone in your household is unwell or has been sick or diarrhoea within the last 48hrs.I will rearrange, and no charges will apply.

 

Access to property Policy:

 

If I am unable to access the property within 20minutes of the scheduled clean, the clean will be charged at full price.

 

Biohazards & Hoarding

 

I am untrained and uninsured when it comes to cleaning involving biohazards and hoarding. This includes:

·       Human or animal waste or fluids (urine, blood, faeces, etc.)

·       Mold, fungus, needles, sewage waste, nicotine removal etc,

If I encounter these conditions on arrival, I will immediately cease cleaning and will leave the property and will charge the full cleaning fee.

 

Infestations:

 

I am unable to clean properties with infestations such as fleas, rodents, bed bugs, cockroaches etc.) I do not want to cross contaminate other client’s properties, if such conditions are discovered I will stop cleaning and leave the property immediately.

 

Photos & Social Media

 

I may take “before and after” photos and or videos for marketing and promotional services only. No details regarding my client’s will be shared that includes, names, address, personal pictures will be displayed in the captions nor in the content.

You may revoke your consent now or at any time, should you wish for any related content to be removed please let me know and this will be done immediately no questions asked.

 

Confidentiality

 

Your privacy is important, I will not disclose any of your details about you or the cleaning I provide nor discuss any details with others.

 

 Working Hours

 

I work currently 9.30 – 2.30pm Monday – Friday, I will work limited hours during school half term and summer holidays, your understanding during these times is appreciated and will find alternative days / times to accommodate those who can move there weekly cleans to every 2 weeks or every 2 weeks to every 3 weeks. Dates for flexibility or limited service will be provided below….

As a solo cleaner I take pride in delivering high quality cleaning services. However, there are some practical limitations to what can be achieved in a single day, and I will do my best to provide you with the amount of time needed for me to complete the clean, however additional time / sessions may be required.
